Job Title: Fire Sprinkler Designer

Job Description:
We are looking to hire an in-house Fire Sprinkler Designer to join our team. This position is ideal for individuals with experience in fire sprinkler system design or those looking to develop their skills in this specialized field. The successful candidate will have experience reading plans and specs, as well as proficiency in AutoCAD-based design programs like Hydro CAD. If you are eager to learn about hydraulic calculations for fire sprinkler systems, we provide the opportunity for growth in this area.

Key Responsibilities:
-Design and layout fire sprinkler systems using AutoCAD-based programs (Hydro CAD).
-Read and interpret fire protection plans and specifications.
-Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other team members to ensure accurate system designs.
-Perform hydraulic calculations for fire sprinkler systems (or learn to do so as part of the role).
-Ensure that designs comply with local, state, and federal codes and standards.
-Provide design support and technical assistance to the installation team as needed.

Qualifications:
-NICET certification Level 1 or 2 is a plus, but not required.
-Ability to read and understand fire protection plans and specifications with a solid level of knowledge.
-Proficient in using an AutoCAD-based design program, specifically Hydro CAD.
-Ability to perform hydraulic calculations for fire sprinkler systems, or a willingness to learn.
-Must have reliable transportation to commute to the office and job sites.

Benefits:
-Local 669 Designers and Stock Listers Agreement.
-Hourly wage is negotiable based on experience.
-Five days PTO to start, increasing to 10 days PTO after the first year.
-Yearly bonus based on performance.
